Take a stand to protect customers and uphold product integrity

Imitation and replica XLERATOR® hand dryers are out there, populating e-commerce sites such as Amazon and eBay for a cheap price, but you get what you pay for. There is no denying that Chinese imitation XLERATOR hand dryers cost less, but with breakdowns, repairs, and replacements, customers end up paying more over the long haul, especially when many imitation units only carry limited 1-3 year warranties compared to the XLERATOR Hand Dryer’s industry-leading 7-year warranty. Intellectual property has to be repsected!

To our detriment, imitation hand dryers manufactured to resemble our XLERATOR Hand Dryer have continued to infiltrate the U.S. market, despite Excel’s 2017 favorable ruling at the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) to prevent replica XLERATOR hand dryer importation. As part of this ruling, the USITC issued a General Exclusion Order blocking the importation and sale of imitation XLERATOR hand dryers that infringe on Excel Dryer’s intellectual property rights, making these knockoff dryers illegal to import and sell in the United States. This ruling, called a General Exclusion Order, is meant to give us the fullest protection possible and applies to all sellers and resellers as well as new and existing labels considered XLERATOR copies. Some companies have invested in new cover designs to avoid our ITC ruling. We cannot stop them from doing this, but we will at least have made the distinction between their dryers and ours clear, stopping them from so easily and blatantly exploiting our intellectual property.

Please cooperate to stop imitation

Look for key indicators like a cord with a plug or a high breakdown/burnout rate compared to the XLERATOR’s less than 1% failure rate. When in doubt, reach out.
